Deploy Red Hat Edge Manager with a custom CA

Deploy or upgrade Red Hat Edge Manager after you configure the custom CA secret in the installation namespace.

Before you begin

  • The flightctl-ca TLS secret is created in the installation namespace by using the CLI or web console procedure.
  • Cluster administrator permissions.

Procedure

Deploy or upgrade Red Hat Edge Manager per Installing Red Hat Edge Manager on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform or Installing with Helm in a disconnected environment.

Results

  • The flightctl-ca secret exists in the installation namespace before the Helm release is deployed. For the cert-manager path, the flightctl-caCertificate also reports Ready: True.
  • After installation, Red Hat Edge Manager pods reach Running and the web UI and API are available over HTTPS.
  • Service certificates for the API, web UI, telemetry, and image builder chain to your custom CA instead of a Red Hat Edge Manager-generated self-signed root.
