Install Red Hat Edge Manager on OpenShift Container Platform in disconnected environments

Deploy Red Hat Edge Manager on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform using container images and a Helm chart that you mirrored to a registry inside the air-gapped environment, instead of the Hybrid Cloud Console Software Catalog.

Installation workflow

  1. On a connected prep machine, mirror container images and download the Helm chart (Preparing offline container images and the Helm chart).
  2. Transfer registry content, the Helm chart archive, and the artifact manifest to the disconnected site. See Transferring an offline installation bundle or Transferring an offline RPM repository in the Additional resources section.
  3. Configure ImageTagMirrorSet for Red Hat Edge Manager images and apply the ITMS manifest so the cluster pulls from your internal registry only.
  4. Install the Helm release from the local chart (Installing with Helm in a disconnected environment).
  5. Review Image Builder security requirements if your security team must approve privileged workloads before installation.
  6. Configure the image builder worker in disconnected environments when you build operating system images inside the cluster.
