Deploy the cloud infrastructure

To build a functional Red Hat OpenStack Services on OpenShift cloud, install and configure the core infrastructure components on your Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP) cluster.

Deploying the cloud infrastructure requires completing the following stages:

  1. Install the OpenStack Operator on the RHOCP cluster to provide the custom resource definitions (CRDs) that manage RHOSO services.
  2. Prepare the RHOCP cluster by configuring worker nodes with isolated networks, MetalLB load balancing, and NMState network configuration.
  3. Create the control plane to deploy the RHOSO services that manage the cloud environment.
  4. Create and deploy one or more data planes with RHEL compute nodes to host cloud workloads.
  5. Integrate Red Hat Ceph Storage and configure persistent storage services for the Block Storage, Image, Object Storage, and Shared File Systems services.
  6. Validate the deployment by running Tempest integration tests.
