- Fixed an issue where agentic workflow steps did not enforce their configured timeout. An agentic step could run past the configured timeout limit without being cancelled. Agentic steps that exceed the timeout are now marked as timed out and cancelled.
- Fixed an issue where unpublishing a workflow from the workflow builder displayed a “Failed to unpublish workflow” error with a gateway timeout message. The workflow was unpublished despite the error, but the misleading failure message is confusing. The unpublish operation now completes without delay.
- Fixed an issue where task-agent response metadata returned duplicated scalar values. For example, the finish reason could appear as
stopstopinstead ofstop.
Approvals (2026.8.1788958058) Copy linkLink copied!

- Fixed an issue where an approval step inside a loop failed on the second iteration with an HTTP 409 Conflict error. Approval nodes inside loops now generate unique identifiers per iteration.
- Fixed an issue where saving a workflow with an approval node set to follow the system default for on-failure behavior displayed a false validation warning. The warning incorrectly stated that the fallback decision would have no effect unless "continue on failure" is enabled in the step settings, disregarding the admin system default. Workflow validation now correctly considers both step-level and system-level settings.
User management (2026.8.1788958058) Copy linkLink copied!

- Fixed an issue where creating a user in Access Management failed if the First Name field was left blank. The form accepted the submission, but an error message appeared: “Failed to create user.” Users can now create accounts without providing a first name. The API now accepts these values and creates the user successfully.

- Scheduled triggers and built-in periodic workflows now run as expected: Fixed an issue where scheduled triggers and built-in periodic workflows, such as Integration Health Check and Integration Resource Discovery, never fired. Workflows with scheduled triggers appeared published and enabled but silently never ran. Publishing a workflow with a scheduled trigger also took approximately 20 seconds and returned an HTTP 504 gateway timeout through the Route, even though the publish succeeded. Scheduled workflows now execute on their configured schedule.
- Saving a published workflow with a webhook trigger no longer fails: Fixed an issue where saving any change to a previously published workflow containing a webhook trigger failed with the validation error “authorized_service_account_ids Field required.” All published workflows with webhook triggers were blocked from being edited or saved. Webhook trigger workflows can now be saved and edited normally. Importing a workflow with a webhook trigger also no longer fails when the authorized_service_account_ids are empty or invalid; the import creates a draft workflow with a validation warning so you can correct the service account configuration after import.
- Workflow builder no longer crashes when opening switch nodes with custom expressions: Fixed an issue where opening a switch node in the workflow builder that contained ${} path expressions with UUID-derived identifiers caused a frontend crash with “Invalid expression path segment: contains disallowed characters.” The expression parser now accepts these identifiers. Loop-based workflows no longer appear permanently stuck in running state: Fixed an issue where workflows containing loop nodes completed successfully but their status remained “running” indefinitely in the API. The activity synchronization service failed to propagate the terminal status to the database for loop-based workflows, so external consumers polling the API for workflow completion never saw a terminal state. Loop-based workflows now correctly report their completed or failed status.
- Visual expression builder operators now evaluate at runtime: Fixed an issue where Switch and Condition nodes that used visual expression builder operators such as
exists,isEmpty, startsWith, endsWith, and matches failed at runtime with “Invalid expression syntax.” These operators are now correctly translated and evaluated. Already-saved and published workflows that use these operators work without changes. - Activity input and output data is preserved during transient query failures: Fixed an issue where activity input and output data in the run details view could be overwritten with empty values when a background data synchronization query failed. Partial output captured during step execution is now preserved on query failure instead of being replaced with blank data.
- Activity output is now available immediately after step completion: Fixed an issue where activity output in the run details view could be delayed or missing because the synchronization service used a timed retry loop to query output data. The synchronization service now uses an event-driven mechanism to retrieve output as soon as it is available.
- Loop node errors now display actionable messages: Fixed an issue where a forEach loop whose items expression resolved to null or a non-list value at runtime displayed an opaque validation error (“Input should be a valid list”) with no indication of which expression failed. The error message now identifies the expression, its resolved type, and suggests how to correct it.
Credentials and access control (2026.8.1789549281) Copy linkLink copied!

- Shared credentials now work through the Ansible Automation Platform resource browser: Fixed an issue where the Ansible Automation Platform resource browser rejected credentials not created by the current user, even when the user had credential:use permission on the credential’s project. The error message displayed was “AAP_AUTHENTICATION_ERROR,” which incorrectly suggested that the Ansible Automation Platfrom controller rejected the credentials. The Ansible Automation Platform resource browser now uses project-scoped role-based access control, consistent with all other credential operations.
API (2026.8.1789549281) Copy linkLink copied!

- Resource updated_at timestamp now reflects the last modification: Fixed an issue where the
updated_atfield on all API resources never changed after creation, even when the resource was modified through a PATCH request. Theupdated_byfield updated correctly, butupdated_atalways matchedcreated_at. Theupdated_attimestamp now updates on every modification.

- Workflow builder layout no longer shifts horizontally: Fixed a layout issue where the workflow builder page header and canvas were horizontally inset from the page edges due to extra padding from the viewport guard component.
- Workflow builder sidebar no longer collapses unexpectedly on medium viewports: Fixed an issue where the navigation sidebar collapsed automatically when entering the workflow builder on medium or smaller viewports, even if the user had previously expanded it. The sidebar now preserves the user’s expanded or collapsed state regardless of viewport size.
- Workflow Runs search no longer shows workflows from other projects: Fixed an issue where the Search workflows filter in the Workflow Runs table displayed workflows that did not belong to the currently selected project. The filter now shows only workflows that exist in the current project.
- Workflow builder and workflows list toolbars no longer flicker on save or publish: Fixed an issue where the Save and Publish controls in the workflow builder re-rendered during pending state changes, and the workflows list header and filter toolbars disappeared or dimmed during background data refresh. Toolbars now remain stable during save, publish, and refresh operations.
- Run details tab now selects the first node by default: Fixed an issue where opening the Details tab on a workflow run displayed an empty right pane with no node selected. The first activity node is now selected automatically so input and output data is visible immediately. The selected node also persists when switching between the Overview and Details tabs.
- Workflow import dialog now displays user-friendly error messages: Fixed an issue where the workflow import dialog displayed raw API error text for common failure cases such as name conflicts and invalid formats. The dialog now maps API failures to descriptive messages that explain the problem and suggest corrective action.
- Workflow builder “Last saved” tooltip timestamp is now legible: Fixed an issue where the timestamp in the workflow builder Save button tooltip was difficult to read because the time text did not inherit the tooltip color.

- Fixed an issue where the user profile flyout in the side navigation overlapped navigation items above it, preventing you from clicking them. The profile flyout now opens to the right of the navigation panel.
- Fixed an issue where the Assign role button on the service account detail page was misaligned relative to the Create credential button due to an inconsistent toolbar layout.
- Fixed a broken label-input association on the Check Access page where clicking a
typeaheadfield label did not focus the corresponding input field. Screen readers and keyboard navigation now correctly associate labels with their inputs. - Fixed an issue where the Cancel button in the transfer identity wizard was misaligned in the wizard footer, appearing out of position relative to the other wizard actions. The button is now consistently aligned with the wizard footer layout.

- Fixed an issue where the delete workflow confirmation modal in the workflow builder did not display a loading state while the deletion was in progress. The modal now shows the same loading indicator used by the workflows list delete action, so you can see that the operation is running.
- Fixed an issue where the filtering controls in the run details panel were not left-aligned and lacked sufficient padding underneath. The filtering controls are now aligned to the left with improved spacing.
- Fixed an issue where the version history panel in the workflow builder displayed a minus (-) icon instead of the standard close (x) icon. The panel now uses the correct close icon consistent with the design system.
- Fixed an issue where the Groups and Projects tabs in Access Management used button-based navigation instead of real links for table entries. You can now middle-click or right-click to open group and project details in a new tab.
Product naming (2026.8.1790936140) Copy linkLink copied!

- Fixed an issue where a loop node could report itself as complete before all iterations of its body had finished, allowing downstream steps to execute prematurely.

- Fixed an issue where long policy names in the Access Management policy list were truncated without a way to view the full name. A tooltip now appears on hover to display the complete policy name.
- Fixed an issue where the product name “Automation Orchestrator” was not consistently used across the user interface and API responses. All user-facing references now use the correct product name.
